Go Fast. Go Light. Go Further.
The Stigmata blurs the lines between free-roading drop bar singletrack slicer and buckled down race-winning gravel machine. It’s designed for the rider lining up for The Big Event, escaping via the road less traveled or who can’t help themselves from finding the hardest way there. Whether your style is baggy or zipped up, the Stigmata is the fast and loose riding partner that’s always ready to rise to the occasion.
Wheelsize: 700c (up to 50mm wide)
Materials: CC Carbon
Details: Glovebox in-frame storage, progressive geometry
In 2015, when the Stigmata was resurrected, we combined several MTB standards and design features to create our unique take on the modern CX bike. Something hit the mark, as it swiftly raced to victory at the legendary Three Peaks and has continued to compete in elite cyclocross races worldwide.
Today, the features that made the Stigmata famous—internally routed disc brakes, ample tire clearance, and thru-axles—are more commonplace, so we revisited what riders of tomorrow want today.
Threaded bottom brackets are a perennial favorite across our line for their robust, cost-effective, and compatible design. “If it ain’t broke…” and it never is. Fender mounts add some protection and emphasize the Stigmata’s expanding versatility. Plus, with three bottle cage mounts, the frame can still hold at least one regular bottle even with a front triangle bag installed.
Thinking about deeper adventures or bigger tires? The frame now clears up to a 45mm 700c or a 2.1” 650b tire. Pair the latter with our Force/X01 AXS mashup kit, and you’ve got a drop-bar singletrack and gravel rallycat ready for action.
Regarding classic off-road etiquette, the Stigmata has received some guidance from the Highball school of stiffness, handling, and off-road feel. The carbon layup draws from not only the Highball but also Danny MacAskill’s trials bike, resulting in a ride so compliant you’d think HR sent it for a training course.
Geometry is crucial too, so we’ve adjusted it to improve handling for smaller riders and reduce toe overlap. The redesign of the 52/54cm frames now comfortably fits riders from 5’3” and up. Different fork offsets—50mm for the 52-54cm sizes and 45mm for the 56-61cm sizes—ensure your toes stay clear of the front wheel.
With clean details like a 12mm front axle, flat mount brakes, and build-specific Reserve wheel packages, the Stigmata is crafted to let you define what this category should be.
