ABBEY SHOP HAMMER
In 2018 we brought our ambassador crew out to our Bend Oregon shop to hang out for a weekend. They found this hammer sitting next to a machine and they all wanted one. After a solid year of them telling us we should make them for sale we’ve finally gotten around to it.
The Shop Hammer has a heat treated 1.5″ (38mm) stainless steel head and 12″ long handle with the same silicone grip from ESI as our Team Issue Hammer. Weighing in at a respectably stout 20oz (566g) they are sure to make short work of setting crown races and removing press fit bottom brackets.
Hammer comes standard with green soft face. Brass tips are also available.
ABBEY TEAM ISSUE TITANIUM HAMMER
When one of my customers requested I make a titanium travel hammer I thought he was nuts, until I made it. Then I realized his genius. This is fairly specialized tool designed for the traveling mechanic and is part of our Team Issue line. However anyone who has used, currently uses, or is thinking about using a hammer in the future will appreciate this beauty.
Coming in at roughly 265 grams it’s a big weight savings over more traditional hammers. The soft face is replaceable with commonly available 1″ threaded faces. At 12″ long it’s compact but still long enough to remove those stubborn bearings. We finish off the Team Issue hammer with a custom silicone grip from ESI to give a bit of cushion from the all metal construction.
